"Alyssa is from Merrick, New York. She graduated from Adelphi University with a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education and is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Interactive Multimedia Arts from LIU Post! She grew up with a loving family that fostered and cultivated her love for the arts. She was always surrounded by music, art and theater and she credits much of her creativity and success to that fact. After studying abroad in Florence, Italy; her passion for art skyrocketed. She spent about a year working for Paint Nite and an educational supply store until she decided it was time to pursue her dream and learn more about the art/technology world, animation, coding and computer arts in Graduate School. With a love of street art, photography, animation, and so much more; Alyssa is excited to be doing what she loves every day! Pablo Picasso once said “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." Here at Muse,Alyssa's main goal is to have an incredible time with you all, and to recapture the childlike creativity that lives within all of us."

                      • Jessica Egan
Jessica grew up in Connecticut and received her Bachelors of Fine Art at the University of Hartford's Art School in 2008. From a young age she showed an interest in drawing. She would doodle the cartoons she watched on TV and began private art classes at the age of 9 in her hometown. She later won a 2 year scholarship for a program with The Art Instruction Schools as a young teen. Through that program she was able to learn about different mediums, techniques and received feedback from professional artists. Later, while studying illustration at The Hartford Art School she was ecstatic to win a spot where she traveled to Sicily for a 2 week long painting class. She met her husband during her time studying art in West Hartford and relocated to his hometown in Long Island. She enjoys working in pencil, color pencil and acrylic paint. She loves capturing the essence of someone in a pencil portrait and creating landscapes and more in her paintings. Some of her other passions include fitness, nature, humanism, science and learning new things. She is so excited to be sharing her passion of art and to be able to introduce others to the exciting world of paint.

Many people struggle to connect but for Alex, connectivity comes easy through expression in art. Paintbrush or pencil, Alex is able to bring his thoughts to life and through doing so has recognized the importance in embracing creative expression. Being a late bloomer, Alex's passion for the arts did not come into full effect until his time studying at Nassau Community College, where one art class was enough to seal the deal. Now working as a student aid in the Nassau Community Art Department he is able to fully submerge himself into his preferred environment. As coordinator of the Art Club, Alex finds satisfaction in encouraging students to embrace their passion and get involved on campus. He wishes to bring that same passion and support to Muse in order to get people out of their shells and onto the canvas.

                      • Amanda Leigh
"Her father was a man who worked with skilled hands, drew clean lines and left no mess in his wake. Her mother was a woman whose bursting, colorful soul couldn't be kept within borders. Amanda took these traits as gifts from her parents, and much of her life was spent in observance of them battling for dominance. One serendipitous day, it occurred to her that she could, indeed, nurture both of these gifts simultaneously. She has since been emerging as a legacy of her parents and a force of her own. Amanda's arts education began with crayons. More specifically, crayons that trailed across hallways and kitchens in the biggest swirls her tiny arms could manage. Food was not spared; mashed potatoes and gravy became elaborate castles with muddy moats, spaghetti was draped ornamentally over furniture and floors. It wasn't until her high school years when she realized what a pencil could do. From there, her excitement for tangible media only grew. She taught herself the moods of pencil, charcoal, watercolors, and once in college, finally studied acrylics. She is currently developing an appreciation for and studying oils, pastels, and digital works."
